This lovely demitasse cup & saucer by Porcelaine de Paris is done w/exquisite Limoges, France porcelain. This high quality set is decorated with wonderful, very 60s, puffy purple, pink and yellow flowers and the words "Mardi.... Jour de Mars" (Tuesday .... Day of March). Finished w/gorgeous, clean lines and simple, yet elegant shape, this piece displays fantastically!
Measurements:
- cup ~ approximately 2.25" tall x 2" wide at the opening
- saucer ~ approximately 4.75" across
Dates ~ made for I. Magnin & Co., c1930-1980, a high end department store in Los Angeles during this time period. This set is probably c1960.
Hallmarks ~ marked - "Porcelain de Paris Limoges France I. For Magnin & Co." as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This piece shows little evidence of age or use and chip/flake free with minimal shelf wear minimal and minimal use marks.
