There is nothing like old Mexican sterling - one of my favorites to collect and sell. The design and handiwork on this piece are just spectacular. This lovely brooch is done in 3 panels of bezel set onyx which are accented w/balls of sterling - elegant and chic!
Measurements - approximately 1.5" x 0.75".
Dates - pre1948.
Weight - 0.3 ounces (8.50 grams).
Markings - marked - "Taxco 925" - please see pictures.
Condition - Excellent: while this old piece shows a little denting on the balls (see pictures), it's in otherwise outstanding shape w/little other evidence of age or use. All materials are present, clear, and chip/flake free; the hardware is in good, working order.
