There is nothing like old Mexican sterling, and it's one of my favorites to collect and sell. The design and handiwork on this piece are just spectacular. This lovely brooch is done in 3 panels of bezel set black onyx, which are accented with balls of sterling. This piece is elegant and chic!
Measurements ~ approximately 1.5" x 0.75".
Dates ~ pre1948.
Weight ~ 0.3 ounces (8.50 grams).
Hallmarks ~ marked "Taxco 925", as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. While this old piece shows a little denting on the balls (see pictures), it's in otherwise outstanding shape with little other evidence of age or use.
Review pictures carefully.
Note ~ I do not polish silver/silverplate prior to shipping unless requested. Some clients prefer the patina intact when purchasing.
