Sterling Silver & Black Bakelite Cameo Brooch Vintage Mid Century 1950s Designer Fashion Jewelry Gift
This gorgeously detailed cameo brooch is decorated with the most beautiful of woman in profile, which is set a top a black Bakelite base. The cameo is prong set within a sterling silver frame. This piece is quite the outstanding find!
This piece is testing positive (q-tip turns yellow) for Bakelite under the 409 test.
Cameos always make a nice bridal accessory.
Measurements - approximately 1.5".
Dates ~ c1950.
Markings ~ stamped "Sterling", as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. While there is nice patina on the frame, this piece shows little other evidence of age or use.
Note ~ I do not polish silver/silver-plate prior to shipping unless requested. Some clients prefer the patina intact when purchasing.
