Antique Plate by Rosenthal Selb Bavaria Germany Handpainted German Studio Dish Vintage 1910s Designer Gift; Vintage Rosenthal Porcelain ~ Decorated Hand Painted Floral Cabinet Plate
This wonderful and very nostalgic hand painted plate with a yellow flower (sunflower or daisy) design is set in a triangular, wreath pattern and accented w/a sky blue border. This plate was done by 14 year old Bernice Strebel in 1912.
Just imagine this 14 year old w/her mother and grandmother, maybe some cousins, sitting in the parlor of their Victorian home, practicing their "woman" skills and creating this incredible plate - quite the unique treasure!
Highly collectible and displays absolutely wonderfully; perfect for set matching and completion; an ideal gift for the Rosenthal collector - or as a hostess gift.
