This amazingly decorative, very large, beaded handbag is decorated with a stunning, central rose that is designed against a blue beaded background. This piece is accented with a blue beaded strap, a pink fabric interior, and a wonderful, tasseled bottom. This purse is finished with a metal snap closure and comes complete with its original, matching mirror. This bag is simply marvelous!
A lot of handiwork & skill went into the making of this bag.
Measurements ~ approximately 9" with a 1.5" fringe x 6.5" with about an 14" strap.
Dates ~ c1920.
Hallmarks ~ unmarked, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Great: pre-owned vintage/antique. As can be seen in the last pictures, this piece shows minor bead loss, wear to the strap, and a stained interior. However, this purse a unique example of antique hand beading, and it makes a wonderful collectible.
