Made during the occupation of Japan following World War II, this stunning demitasse cup and saucer is done in dreamy white porcelain w/a pale yellow panel and amber brown accents.  Finished with a floral medallion and a touch of moriage, this piece is hard to find and quite the treasure!

Highly collectible and displays absolutely wonderfully; perfect for set matching and completion; an ideal gift for the Occupied Japan collector - or as a hostess gift.

Measurements:

  • tea cup ~ approximately 1.75" across
  • saucer ~ approximately 3.75" across

Pattern / Dates ~ mid century; c1946-1955 - during the years following WWII.  When America "occupied" Japan, wares made in, and exported out of, Japan had to be marked as such.

Hallmarks ~ signed as seen in pictures.

Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique.  With a touch of wear to the gilding, this piece shows little other evidence of age or use, and is chip/flake free. Shelf wear &/or use marking is minimal.
