The history of this piece is just amazing. Done in the Janice blank by New Martinsville Glass Co. (which later became Viking Glass in 1944), this piece was then decorated by Silver Glass Co. in their ever popular, albeit allusive, Queen's Rose pattern, which is done in 22K gold overlay. With its folded sides, this is quite the unique and hard to find piece!

Dates ~ mid-century, c1949.
Hallmarks ~ unsigned, identified via pattern and shape.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. While there are areas of light wear to the gold, this piece is in otherwise fantastic shape, with little to no other evidence of age or use.
