Antique Rose Cake Plate by Moritz Zdekauer Austria 2 Handled Dish Serving Platter Vintage 1900s Austrian Designer Gift
This antique platter by Moritz Zdekauer is from Austria, is done on dreamy white porcelain, and is decorated with a fantastic arrangement of pink roses. This piece is finished with gold gilding and a scalloped rim, and comes complete with 2 handles. This platter is absolutely perfect for both use and display!
Altrohlau, from where this piece originally came, is now known as part of the Czech Republic. However, the German Porcelain House of C.M. Hutschenreuther purchased Moritz Zdekauer c1909, which blurs the regions from where this platter originates.
Measurements ~ approximately 12" x 13" handle to handle.
Dates ~ c1891-1917.
Hallmarks ~ underglaze stamp "MZ Austria" in green, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. Although there is gold loss commensurate with use and age, the pattern is in great shape, and this piece displays wonderfully. This piece is chip and flake free, with minimal shelf wear and/or use marking.
