Micro Bead Lucite Purse XL Faux Tortoise Pleated Kaleidoscope Handbag Vintage Mid Century Fashion Bag Gift
This unique, and large, purse, with its faux tortoise shell frame, is decorated with a fantastic assortment of micro beads in a Art Deco-ish pattern. This piece has a flap accent and a lovely fringe, and is finished with a wonderful kaleidoscope/tie dye interior. This piece has an interior pocket and is pleated at the frame. This bag has quite the sophisticated construction and fashion.
Measurements ~ approximately 13" x 7" with a 2" fringe and a 14" strap.
Dates ~ c1940.
Hallmarks ~ unmarked, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Good: pre-owned vintage/antique. As can be seen in the last picture, this piece has been repaired, and probably could use a tightening up of those repairs. There is sticker residue on the frame, and I believe the ball on the clasp has been replaced. There is minor fringe and bead loss, however, this is such the unique purse that it makes for a wonderful collectible.
