Description - out of the 40s and from the Land of Mexico comes to you this fantastic demi parure - done in sterling silver, and inlaid w/abalone, this set is designed in a leaf motif w/overlaid sterling veining - very elegant - a strong attention to detail and a master craftsmanship went into the design and execution of these beauties - the inlay is slightly raised, adding to this set's fineness
The demi parure include a brooch and matching, screwback earrings.
Measurements - brooch - approximately 2.5" x 1.25"; earrings - approximately 1" x 0.5
Dates - pre1948
Hallmarks - the brooch is marked, in a triangle, "Cuermor Ley 925 ASC Sterling Hecho en Mex" - this indicates that the brooch was made in the city of Cuernavaca in the State of Morelos; the earrings are marked, in a circle, "Sterling 925 Mexico CBR" - please see pictures
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique - this jewelry shows little evidence of age or use - it wears spectacularly!
Note ~ I do not polish silver/silverplate prior to shipping unless requested. Some clients prefer the patina intact when purchasing.
