Mexico Sterling Silver Abalone Brooch & Earrings Demi Parure Vintage 1930s Mexican Designer Fashion Jewelry Gift
This fantastic demi parure from Mexico is done in sterling silver, is decorated with inlaid abalone shell, and is designed as a leaf with overlaid sterling veining. This set is very elegant, with a strong attention to detail and a master craftsmanship. The inlay is slightly raised, adding to this set's fineness.
The demi parure include a brooch and matching, screwback earrings.
Measurements:
- brooch ~ approximately 2.5" x 1.25"
- earrings ~ approximately 1" x 0.5
Dates - pre1948.
Hallmarks:
- The brooch is marked, in a triangle, "Cuermor Ley 925 ASC Sterling Hecho en Mex". This indicates that the brooch was made in the city of Cuernavaca in the State of Morelos
- The earrings are marked, in a circle, "Sterling 925 Mexico CBR".
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This jewelry shows little evidence of age or use.
Note ~ I do not polish silver/silverplate prior to shipping unless requested. Some clients prefer the patina intact when purchasing.
