Located in the city of Selb, the Lorenz Hutschenreuther porcelain factory produced its ever popular Richelieu line. Decorated with dainty and delicate pink roses, and accented with pale blue ribbons, this cup & saucer is finished with brilliant gold gilding on dreamy white porcelain. This is a spectacular example of German porcelain!
This is 2 piece set includes a cup and saucer.
Highly collectible and displays absolutely wonderfully with high quality German workmanship and unsurpassed attention to detail, and skill in design. Perfect for set matching and completion.
Measurements:
- cup ~ approximately: 2.25" tall x 2.25" wide
- saucer ~ approximately: 4.5" across
Dates ~ while this pattern was in production c1928-1986, the presence of the importer's mark "Pasco" dates this particular set c1948-1970.
Hallmarks ~ underglaze stamp as follows:
- cup ~ "Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria Germany" with the LHS Lion Logo in green w/red decorators' marks
- saucer ~ "Richelieu 7658 Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria Germany" with both the LHS Lion Logo and the Pasco Crown Logo in green, w/red decorators' marks
Condition ~ Great: pre-owned vintage/antique. While there is a flake at the rim of the cup above the handle, as seen in pictures, this set is in otherwise fantastic shape with little other evidence of age or use.
