Juliana Sapphire Blue Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Brooch & Earrings Vintage D&E Delizza Elster Mid Century 1950s Designer Fashion Jewelry Gift; Vintage Jewelry by DeLizza & Elster - Blue Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Brooch & Earrings
One of the more unusual lines by DeLizza and Elster, and one that is not easily identified, this early demi parure is dazzling in it's own right. Done with shimmering blue aurora borealis rhinestones and marked by a unique design (something D&E is known for), this piece is finished in silver tones and absolutely wonderful!
The demi parure includes a brooch and matching clippy earrings.
Measurements:
- brooch ~ approximately 2"
- earrings ~ approximately 1" x 0.75"
Dates - c1950.
Hallmarks ~ unmarked as seen in pictures. DeLizza & Elster Jewelry was not marked unless it was made for another "designer" and is identified via study and evaluation of several construction characteristics.
Know You are Buying Real D&E - while this is a known D&E set, the construction attributes that mark this set as made by D&E include: prong set stones, correct pin assembly, correct earring clips, layered and offset design, layers attached w/heavy solder. Additionally, this set was identified by the Discovering Juliana Jewelry Group in 2006 and confirmed as D&E by Mr. Frank DeLizza.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This jewelry shows little evidence of age or use and wears wonderfully!

About my DeLizza & Elster Jewelry - I am an avid student and collector of D&E Jewelry. I am/was also a member of several online groups that seek to study and identify both D&E jewelry and costume jewelry in general. When doubt, I consulted Mr. DeLizza, and retain those references.
