This uniquely creative, hard to find, brooch by D&E is decorated with a wide variety of carnelian red and pearl beads, is accented with crystal chain dangles, is embellished with filigree hearts and cups (on the pearl cabochons), and is finished in gold tones. This piece is large, with a lot of movement and shimmer.
Measurements ~ approximately 4" x 2.25".
Dates ~ c1960.
Hallmarks ~ unmarked as seen in pictures. D&E jewelry is identified via study and evaluation of several construction characteristics.
Know You are Buying Real D&E ~ this is a known D&E design, however, the construction attributes that mark this piece as made by D&E include: prong set stones, correct dangles, correct rivets, correct riveted attachment of dangles, solder drips, correct pin assembly, correct filigree heart findings.
