This lovely lot of 4 glasses is decorated with a stunning, gold overlay, appears to be handblown, is done on smoky purple/amethyst glass, and is possibly Bohemian, Czech, or Murano Italian. Without identifying labels, it's hard to pinpoint this lot's origins. This lot is perfect for set matching and completion, and makes a wonderful, collectible gift.
This lot includes 3 shot glasses and 1 shooter glass.
Measurements:
- shot glasses ~ approximately 2.5" tall with a 1.75" opening and a 1.25" foot
- shooter glass ~ approximately 3.25" tall with a 2.25" opening & foot
Dates ~ mid century c1960.
Hallmarks ~ unsigned beauties, as seen in pictures. This item has been identified, with paperwork, as Vecchia Murano glass out of Venice, Italy.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. With just a touch of wear to the gold gilt, as expected with age, this lot shows little other evidence of age or use.
Note ~ antique/vintage glass and/or pottery may be dusty in nooks and crannies, may exhibit minor crazing, may contain minor sticker residue, and are only lightly cleaned. Because of the knock offs/fakes flooding the market, this helps you identify an aged, and thus authentic, vintage/antique piece.
