This fabulous earthenware cup & saucer set by Spode is done in their amazing Buttercup pattern, with it's dainty yellow flowers, brown ornate accents, and nostalgic impressed basket weave shape. Finished on creamy clay, this piece is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Pattern ~ retired; in production from 1924-1992.
Measurements:
- cup ~ approximately 2.5" x 2.5"
- saucer ~ approximately 5.5"
Dates ~ mid-century, c1950.
Hallmarks ~ marked in brown and in blue, as seen in pictures.
Most sets retain the older backstamp that was used until c1957, while some sets have the more modern backstamp and are thus post1957. I will do my best to accommodate your preferences and keep like stamps together (just send a note with your order if you have a preference).
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This set shows little evidence of age or use, with little wear to the pattern and little crazing.
