Cherry Blossom Bird Ribbon Pitcher Japan Import Ewer Blue White Pottery Antique Vintage Aesthetic Movement Pottery
This lovely piece, decorated with cherry blossoms and birds, was probably imported from Japan and done in the style of the aesthetic movement.
Measurements ~ approximately 6" tall, 4.25" wide spout to handle.
Dates ~ c1900.
Hallmarks ~ unsigned, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Good: pre-owned vintage/antique. There is crazing, an overall browning to the stoneware, and 2 glaze pops (see last picture). Item also contains white, chalky residue on inside lip. I have not tried to clean it. This piece is over 100 years old, and some aging is to be expected.
