Pattern / Dates ~ early century; c1920 - the Haviland family were amazing innovators in the fine bone china industry, changing the very face of the industry world-wide. The company can trace its roots to its American founder, David Haviland, who exported his first porcelain from Limoges, France in 1842. David's son, Theodore, followed in his father's footsteps in 1890. The family continued to be in management until 1972.
