Sam Weller Made in Japan Salt & Pepper Shakers, Vintage Mid Century 1960s Japanese Gift
These cute salt & pepper shakers were made in Japan and done as Sam Weller, the character from the Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. Sam Weller was a shoeshiner, and in these shakers, he is polishing boots, with a boot on one hand and a brush in the other. This set is the perfect collectible, and perfect gift for any Dickens enthusiast.

Measurements ~ approximately 3" tall by 1.5" wide at the base.
Pattern/Dates ~ post-war, mid-late-century, c1960.
Hallmarks ~ stamped "Made in Japan" in red, as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This set shows little evidence of age or use ,and displays phenomenally. It is chip/flake free.
Note ~ antique/vintage glass and/or pottery may be dusty in nooks and crannies, may exhibit minor crazing, may contain minor sticker residue, and are only lightly cleaned. Because of the knock offs/fakes flooding the market, this helps you identify an aged, and thus authentic, vintage/antique piece.
