This fabulous earthenware plate by Spode is done in Spode's amazing Buttercup pattern, with it's dainty yellow flowers, brown ornate accents, and nostalgic impressed basket weave shape. Finished on creamy clay, this piece is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Highly collectible and displays absolutely wonderfully, this plate exhibits high quality Spode workmanship. With unsurpassed attention to detail and skill in design, this piece is perfect for set matching and completion.
Pattern ~ retired; in production from 1924-1992.
Measurements ~ approximately 7.75".
Dates ~ mid-century, c1950. This piece retains the older backstamp that was used until c1957.
Hallmarks ~ marked in brown "Copeland Spode England Buttercup", as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned vintage/antique. This piece shows little evidence of age or use, with little wear to the pattern and little crazing.
