Description ~ this gorgeous Austria china from Oscar & Edgar Gutherz creates the base for this lovely studio piece - probably handpainted by the owner, M. Schuler, c1960/70, w/an abundant use of gold gilding, this piece has a gorgeous shape and a lovely design, and at one time was probably used as a serving piece: a celery dish. Highly collectible and displays absolutely wonderfully; high quality Austrian workmanship; unsurpassed attention to detail and skill in design; perfect for set matching and completion.
Measurements ~ approximately 1.55" tall x 5" wide x 12" long.
Dates ~ porcelain: c1899-1918; decoration: c1960-1970.
Hallmarks ~ underglaze backstamp in green "O&EG Royal Austria" with the green laurel stamp and "M. Schuler" ~ as seen in pictures.
Condition ~ Excellent: pre-owned antique - with some expected wear to the gold gild commensurate w/age, this piece shows little other evidence of age, use or wear; shelf wear is minimal, if present at all.
